Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends

I am a member of Crowdtap where I can take surveys for a chance to win prizes from different brands and I also get try samples of select products from time to time.

This time I got to try out Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Blends.  I really liked how light it was and that it looks natural.  What do you think?

Johnathon is finally potty trained!

Johnathon has been a pain in the butt to potty train!  I tried a bunch of different techniques and would just decide after a short time he wasn't ready and would back off and then try again later.  Finally I came to the conclusion that he is four now so he is plenty old enough and if didn't make him he just wouldn't do it.  So I sucked it up and put him in the thick cotton underwear and told him he needed to keep it dry.  We put plastic down in the living room to minimize messes and let him watch TV all day and I would take him to try to go on the potty after every TV show, about every half hour.  He did okay only having 3 accidents the first day and another 3 the second but not getting any better about going on his own so I took some advice from my sister Melissa.  He would get one 'freebie' a day meaning his first accident he would get a warm shower to wash off but every accident after that he would get a cold shower.  He did not like the cold shower so he quickly learned to go on the potty on his own!  It took a couple more days and I had to force him into the cold shower a couple times but he learned and actually tried.

He now loves wearing his Spider-man underwear we bought him as well as the Power Ranger and Ninja Turtle underwear my mom got him.  After he got really good about going on the potty every time he also got a Ninja Turtle cape and mask that my mom made him that he loves.  He hasn't had any accidents for about 3 months now!

I love getting free stuff!  I've been doing some survey sites for a while where I earn money or points towards prizes but I like the sites that send you something for free just for sharing it with others better.  The newest one I just signed up for is Smiley360.  I don't normally post about these things on the blog but this is how I earn points on this one.  I haven't really gotten the hang of it yet but for every person (up to 10) that clicks on the link: I get a point so we will see if it works.

The sample I just got about a week ago was Crest health pro-health toothpaste.  I was kind of hoping to get the mouthwash (the mission said we would either get crest toothpaste or mouthwash or and oral-B toothbrush) since I have already used the toothpaste but I'll take any free item I can get.  I like the toothpaste- and the fact that it is whitening but also for sensitive teeth- but I can't say that I have noticed a huge difference compared to other toothpastes, maybe the longer I use it the more I'll notice a difference.  The link for this mission is:

The mission I just got the other day some Caltrate samples.  I loved that I got a pedometer with the samples as a 'thank you' but I only got 10 sample sized packets with one gummy in each when a serving size is two and you are suppose to take it 2 times daily.  That gives me plenty to give away just to try the taste but not really enough for me to see if it works well.  There are 3 flavors; I tried the orange and strawberry but not the black cherry since I didn't want to open more that two of the samples for myself so I'd have more to give away and the flavor wasn't bad.  The link for this mission is:

Katelyn's Zoo field trip

There were a lot of parent volunteers for the Zoo field trip so I was paired with another mom, her son and one of Katelyn's other classmates which was nice since I had Johnathon who kept running off.  It has been a while since we've been to the zoo so the kids were really excited.

First we looked at the birds...

...then we made our way over to the giraffes where we gave the kids some Ritz for a snack but Katelyn used them as eyes when I told her to turn around for a picture.

While the rest of us were at the giraffes Johnathon ran ahead and was trying to drink the mist coming out of this elephant sculpture's nose.  I brought him back to the giraffes and tried to give him bottled water but as soon as we walked past the elephant he tried to drink the mist again.

The kids had to stop to play in the Jeep even though there was a line to get in it.

Next we move on to the penguins.  I didn't realize there were so many different kinds of penguins but here the kids are trying to match the shadow picture to the statues.

There were a bunch of these dinosaurs all around and I think that the boys liked them better than all the real animals at the Zoo.

Some of them squirted water, like this one, while others made noises or moved.

Here the kids were playing in the prairie dog domes.  It was hard to get them out because they were having to much fun running from one dome to the next.

We had a hard time getting any good pictures of a lot of the animals and some we could hardly see at all like the tiger so the kids enjoyed taking pictures with the figures.

Johnathon's favorite part was probably  feeding the goats, luckily I had a few quarters!

Katelyn wanted to feed this really ugly llama.  The goats would come up to the fence right away but it took a while before the llama came over to get the food.

When we went to the lizards we realized that we need to get a good picture of the kids together.  Johnathon didn't want to cooperate but since he wasn't a classmate it didn't matter.

Time ran out quicker than we though it would so we had to hurry back to the gates to meet the rest of the class.  We went to the park right behind the zoo for lunch and while everyone else was eating Johnathon was chasing the geese.  When it was time to go I told Katelyn she could come home with me or go back to school for a little bit and she choose to go back to school, I love that she loves school!

I don't really know how this works yet but they are doing a raffle for people who join this week for free snuggle products.
